Food allergen kit (36 allergens)
Allergy is an abnormal reaction to normal environmental substances. Immune system of allergic people reacts to common substances in an unusual way and induces production of the certain proteins, immunoglobulin E (IgE) (antibodies). Allergic reaction occurs when antibody (IgE) bonds to allergen. Allergens may include food, airborne materials, insects’ toxins, chemicals and other environmental factors. Various laboratory tests are used to determine specific IgE that are produced in blood during allergic reactions. Pertinent methods ensure maximum relevant result.
Allergy tests in SORPO medical research center are performed using laboratory diagnostic systems measuring amount of the specific IgE in the patients blood. Tests are safe for patient, there is no need to stop antiallergic drugs before test, and there is no risk of anaphylactic reaction. Patients stage, age or race do not influence test.
Screening allergy tests MAST CLA-1 system (Hitachi Chemical Diagnostics, USA)
This system consists of CLA-1 luminometer and MASTpette threads containing mixed, inhaled and food allergens; system is standardized in Europe. Threads containing inhaled and food allergens are produced specifically for Lithuania. Inhaled and food allergens were selected by Lithuanian allergologist board.
We also offer a mixed European set of 36 allergens, consisting of 18 food and 18 inhaled allergens. Patient may select one of three sets or food and inhaled allergen sets simultaneously. In this test blood levels of IgE against 36 allergens are measured simultaneously. Amount of the specific IgE for every allergen in lumens (LU) and allergization grade (from 0 to 4) is indicated in the test report.
